The play’s climax is a parade led by a drummer, Kelsey Elizabeth Holley, and accented by that Ayler-esque saxophonist, who turned out to be the real thing and named Anthony Leung. Behind them, prisoners-shackled, numbered and masked to look like owls, plague doctors, capped dunces-march through the crowd.

Keely Bierne as Anita is quite a solid character, and together with Kelsey Elisabeth Holley (Consuelo) and the rest of the Sharks girls provide the much-needed comic relief, lest the show tips to a depressing rut. Holley is funny and smart, her antics will get you floored every time. And oh, that blonde wig! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

...and Kelsey Elisabeth Holley’s bleach blond Consuelo not only dances evocatively but acts convincingly as one of the Shark girls.

...it was interesting to see the Jets and Sharks working together to create a solid moment that went perfectly with Kelsey Elisabeth Holley’s soothing, soaring voice as Consuelo.
